Getting back in control

My sister has this sign that reads, “When life hands you a lemon, bust out the tequila and salt.” It seems like life is a series of unexpected rapids between the calm waters on a river. Life isn’t always peachy. However you want to say it, life has its challenges.

To get through life, I need my family, friends, exercise, yoga, Lifestyle Chiropractic, my life coach amongst many others. When stress starts to overwhelm me I go through a mental checklist of, ‘what do I need to get back in control’? One is my family. Spending time with them releases much of the stress in my day to day life. Another is physical awareness. Yoga massage, physical therapy, and adjustments are part of my activities to release stress.

I’ve been going to Lifestyle Chiropractic now for 2 years. It is now part of my lifestyle. It has been a month since my last hike due to my busy schedule. Time to make that a priority and get out on the trails.

Lifestyle tip: set a timer on your phone for 20 minutes once a week and just sit… just sit. No phone, tv, talking, nothing. You will hear what is bothering you and what you desire in life.
