This fall season I have been thinking about the word and practice of “consistency.”

Being consistent with my eating, water intake, working out, and self-care. It can be hard to find consistency when we fall off the wagon on the weekends, binge eating and drinking. Cold and flu season begins, so you take weeks off of the gym because you are simply just not feeling well. Forgetting to drink much water because you are running around in meetings and life gigs. This is where my consistent practice of body and mind start to stray off course.

There have been many years where I take large leaps in focusing on my body and it’s function. Then there are huge gaps of time where I forget, neglect and just don’t bother dealing with this meat suit that carries me around every day.

The past year I have made the pledge to be “consistent” and see what would happen if I just stayed the course. No deviation, no excuses, no BS.

So what happens when you stay the course? Commit to something? Stay consistent? Progress! Physical sustainability. A more balanced approach that makes a difference. The yo yo way of doing anything only creates the UP and DOWN effect.

I personally appreciate the road that is not bumpy. I have chosen consistency because it makes a difference. It means staying committed. It means planning ahead, make the appointments and showing up. It means committing to yourself 100% all of the time.
