Success! I completed my first Ironman. If you don’t know what an Ironman is, it’s 2.4 miles swim, 112 miles on a bike, and 26.2 mile run. I completed it in 13 hours and 48 minutes. Most people ask me, “why?” I reply, “why not?”
For the last 6 years, I have been competing in a shorter, Olympic distance triathlons – .9 mile swim, 26-mile bike, and 6.2 mile run. This shorter distance was always fun, but I had a desire to push myself to go further. Now, after completing an Ironman I am happy to go back to the Olympic distance. To be honest I get bored after 6 hours on a bike.
Wow, did I need the team at Lifestyle Chiropractic to get me ready and recover from my Ironman. Before the race, I was in once or twice a week get a massage, adjustments, and physical therapy. Afterwards, my body was a wreck. It has taken me a few weeks of treatment to get back to normal. I couldn’t have completed this event without the team at Lifestyle Chiropractic.
