Cutting Sugar, Gluten, and Dairy Out of Your Diet (Part 1)

For the past 13 days I have cut out sugar, dairy and gluten from my diet. I have set a personal goal of 30 days. I have never restricted myself from any types of food and wanted to try it out to see what would happen. I have noticed a significant difference in my body in this short amount of time.

Here’s what I’ve learned:

  • I’m spending less money on food because I’m making all of my food
  • I don’t feel bloated at any time
  • My energy level consistently fluctuates depending on the amount of meat I eat
  • Most importantly my craving for sugar doesn’t exist.

Here’s something else that I noticed last week was when I had a massage at Lifestyle Chiropractic. I don’t know if it is because of the diet but I felt that the detox of food I am eating and my muscles being massaged out really made a huge impact on my overall well being. Regardless of my low or high energy throughout these past few days, my body is feeling good and I’m able to keep it moving in my yoga practice. It’s only the beginning, but so far the things I’ve given for this personal diet challenge have been worth the benefits I’ve started to see.
